3 iPhone Tips

  1. Take better photos - I realized many of my photos were turning out blurry and wondered why? I found two tips to improve my photo taking:
    1. I hold my finger on the photo take button (circled in red) before releasing. This decreases blurriness because my finger isn't hitting the photo take button and shaking the camera just when I want the photo taken.
    2. I tap the part of the screen I want to focus on. Holding the tap there will engage automatic exposure (see the red arrow).

  2. Quickly Access Favorite Apps - To have access to your favorite apps at the click of a button add them to the dock. Tap and hold the icon of the application you would like to move to the dock. When the icon starts shaking, drag the one you want to access frequently onto the dock and release your finger. Then push the home button to get back to normal operations.

  3. Enter your username faster - Do your fingers get worn out typing in your username all the time? Use the iPhone phrase feature to input your username more quickly.
    1. Open Settings
    2. Tap General
    3. Tap Keyboard (towards the bottom)
    4. You will find a section called Shortcuts and a pre-created shortcut for omw.
    5. Tap Add New Shortcut...
    6. In the Phrase field, type in your username, in my case: smithd98@gmail.com
    7. In the Shortcut field, type in the first two letter of your username, in my case: sm
    8. Tap Save
    9. To use the shortcut type the first two letters of your username and then tap the space key to insert your username.
